Antwerp (BE) – 12 January 2022 - DEME has entered into an agreement with Norwegian shipping company Eidesvik to acquire the DP3 offshore installation vessel ‘Viking Neptun’. Representing a substantial investment, this move highlights DEME’s commitment to its customers, and supports the continued growth of the offshore wind industry. This latest addition to its vessel fleet also confirms DEME’s mission to build future-proof, sustainable and environmentally friendly operations.
DEME Offshore and Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd., Japan’s leading marine contractor, have formally established a new Joint Venture Company, named Japan Offshore Marine (JOM).
DEME Offshore has successfully installed the final and 165th monopile foundation at Ørsted’s Hornsea Two wind farm, which is currently the largest offshore wind farm in the world.
Thistle Wind Partners (TWP), a consortium composed of DEME Concessions NV, Qair Marine SAS, and Aspiravi International NV, has revealed its participation in Crown Estate Scotland’s ScotWind seabed leasing process. TWP will bring together its partners’ solid experience in similar offshore wind developments, characterised by fast-track delivery, stakeholder involvement, and supply chain engagement. TWP looks forward to contributing to the acceleration of the energy transition in Scotland.
