Maatschap Europoort Terminal (MET) - Repairing damage caused by vessels

Challenge

Repairs had to be carried out to the Maatschap Europoort Terminal (east & west) following damage caused by vessels.

Our solution

 

Design and realisation of various (coated) mooring arrangements:

  • Arrangement East A, consisting of 2 units linked Ø2,020mm steel tube piles, length 45,000mm, with fender system

  • Arrangement East B, consisting of 3 units of linked steel tube piles (2 units Ø2,020mm and 1 unit Ø2,400mm), length 45,000mm, with fender system

  • Arrangement West A, consisting of a steel tube pile Ø2,600mm length 47,000mm, with fender system

  • Arrangement West B, consisting of a steel tube pile Ø2,020mm length 43,000mm, with fender system

Other works:

  • Execution of various demolition works

  • Delivery/installation of 4 steel tube piles Ø1,020mm, length 33,000mm (foundation piles footbridges)

  • Delivery/installation of 3 footbridges/access bridges

  • Delivery/installation of cathodic protection (anodes on steel tube piles)

  • Delivery/installation of coupling East A West B (tube beam Ø1,420mm, length 35,000mm)

  • Delivery/installation of pelican hooks and lighting including power supply
