Technical Engineer - Vessel Construction & Systems

Summary

As a Technical Engineer – Vessel Construction & Systems, you play a key role in maintaining and improving the structural and technical integrity of DEME's fleet of offshore and dredging vessels.

Based at our headquarters in Belgium, you prepare technical solutions and support maintenance, repair, and modification activities on our vessels. You work on a broad range of topics related to vessel construction, steel structures, piping systems, and general vessel maintenance, ensuring that our vessels remain safe, reliable, and operationally ready.

This is not a sailing or crew position. You will work primarily from our Belgian headquarters and collaborate closely with vessel crews, shipyards, suppliers, and technical specialists. Sporadic travel to vessels and shipyards is part of the role when technical assessments, inspections, or preparations are required.

Working across multiple offshore and dredging vessels, you will be exposed to a wide variety of technical challenges and become an important contributor to the long-term performance of our fleet.
