Within our Fleet Organisation, which ensures all maintenance and technical management of our fleet of dredging and offshore vessels, you work in the team that is responsible for managing all vessel certificates. These are all certificates required according to the International Maritime Organisation’s standards (such as classification , Flag State, …).
You provide support to our Technical Superintendents and Vessel Managers for all certificate related matters, answer their questions, assist them in applying for and obtaining the necessary documents and assist in the implementation of new regulations, … . Outside DEME, your main contacts are government agencies and classification societies.
As a Data Analytics Specialist (Project Controls), you will focus on Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics for Offshore construction projects. You will be part of a Project Controls and Data Analytics team that is responsible to provide data solutions for different audiences ranging from project teams offshore to top management. The team sets reporting standards for DEME Offshore and ensures that projects and tenders comply with the requirements. As part of the team, you will be working on technical aspects (developing data input forms/tools, transforming data), as well as data interpretation and visualization for business users.

As a business or data analyst you will play a vital role in improving our internal way of working with better systems, processes and getting valuable insight out of data. As a Project Controls Engineer you will be temporary assigned to provide support and assistance during the start-up of a project after contract award. You will analyse the employer requirements and implement according to the corporate Project Management System (PMS) as best fit for the project. You are the key person in making sure that the minimum of processes & tools are implemented for Schedule, Contract, Interface and Cost management.
With your experience you will create and improve the content in the PMS and will coordinate the alignment of PMS-content between Activity Lines. You need to be familiar with all phases of project management and have to be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds. You like to understand quality control concepts and you are good in developing creative and innovative ways to improve business processes.

As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for the project management system. You will provide a document control service, maintaining effective control of all project documentation, consistent with company standards, processes and project eDMS systems (Aconex or Sharepoint).
