DEME Concessions is the infrastructure developer, investor and manager within DEME Group, leveraging a unique combination of technical capabilities and financial strength of the Group and our partners. We focus on renewable energy, comprising offshore wind and green hydrogen, and on maritime infrastructure. With a growing portfolio and highly attractive pipeline, DEME Concessions develops major projects that help tackle the global need for energy transition and critical infrastructure.
Our integrated approach leverages the strengths of DEME Group as a leading global marine engineering group, present in over 90 countries with a team of over 5.200 people building on over 140 years of experience. Over the past decades, DEME has constructed over 70 offshore wind projects with over 20GW capacity and has been involved in the most iconic dredging and land reclamation projects, such as the Panama Canal, Suez Canal, the Pearl in Qatar and the Tuas Terminal One port expansion project in Singapore.
To support its expanding activities, DEME Concessions is looking to strengthen its team with a Project Engineer. As Project Engineer located in Zwijndrecht/Oman you will enter the cockpit of our flagship Green Hydrogen project DEME Concessions is developing in Duqm, Oman. As DEME Concessions has done before in the offshore wind, we are creating a team of pioneers with a “yes, we can” mentality and a burning desire to develop, design and build one of the first utility-scale green hydrogen and green ammonia plants in the world, contributing to the energy transition whereby the trade of renewable energy can become reality through green hydrogen. As a project engineer, you will be exposed to the overall challenges this novel project entails, within a large variety of topics and disciplines. Nevertheless, the project engineer will, through its analytical mind and educational background, be able to manage these challenges and hence will support the overall objective of de-risking the project and bring it to the next stage in the development. We stress that the day-to-day work package will be subject to a lot of variation and will require a great amount of flexibility. Depending on the actual location of employment (Zwijndrecht or Oman), tasks may include: analysis of supplier’s information and quotes in tender processes, budget follow-up, information flow management, supporting the organization and reporting of stakeholder meetings, risk management, planning, desktop study work on regulatory frameworks, standards and legislation, coordinating subcontractor or consultant work, support in commercial management, support in contract management, support in workshops, support in modelling etc. Our ambition is to expose the project engineer with many opportunities and jointly steer the actual tasks by balancing needs, ambitions and strengths.
