As part of our 150th anniversary celebrations, we welcomed around 3,000 employees, former employees, family members, and friends to DEME Headquarters this weekend for a unique Open House experience.
For this special occasion, our campus was transformed into DEME Land: an interactive journey through the world of DEME. Visitors explored the DEME Lookout, discovered the Expo about 150 years of our history, took a first look at our new headquarters under construction, and stepped aboard the dredging vessel Scheldt River.
Guests experienced DEME up-close through simulators, a VR experience, and a wide range of hands-on activities. Many also visited our Recycling Center in Antwerp, where they learned more about DEME's work in the processing and reuse of dredged materials and contaminated soil.
Most importantly, it was an opportunity to share our story with the people closest to us and to celebrate 150 years of DEME together.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the many colleagues and volunteers whose enthusiasm and dedication helped make this weekend such a success.
