An official keel laying ceremony for ‘Green Jade’ was held today at CSBC’s shipyard in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, marking a major milestone in the construction of this next-generation offshore installation vessel. ‘Green Jade’ is owned by CDWE, a joint venture between CSBC, the largest shipbuilder in Taiwan and DEME Offshore.
DEME Offshore has been awarded a substantial Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract for the foundations at Parkwind’s Arcadis Ost I offshore wind farm. The next-generation XXL monopiles will be the largest ever installed in Europe with a weight of around 2,000 tonnes each.
In 2019, DEME together with Econopolis nv, Tractebel Engineering nv/sa and University of Liège joined forces in a study on the potential of energy islands off the Belgian coast. Future energy developments off the coast represent an important driver of the blue growth in Belgium and promotes therefore the energy transition to achieve our ambitious climate goals in 2030 and 2050.
DEME Offshore has been awarded a contract for the Transport & Installation of the jackets and topsides for two Hollandse Kust offshore substations. DEME Offshore will also supply and install scour protection for both substations, which will be installed at the Hollandse Kust (noord) and (west Alpha) wind farms.
DEME Concessions (DEME) and OQ Alternative Energy (OQ) are proud to announce the start of a joint project to develop a world leading, green hydrogen plant in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, Oman in cooperation with The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ).
